 That we having Hon  ..gawd this bar has  suddenly  become  respectable ??  actually  thinking back to me  afternoon to early  evening session with new bosslady  ..  we huddled in a corner  of the bar in  cape grace  and  shared the bottie of shiraz  .. she  even took her boots off   . we  have this off duty friendship  .. professional at work  .. anyhow she also been a  good  and  concerned   person to  me since loss last  year  ..  but  then again as i always said .. people  gravitate toward me for that sort of  cuddle up on the sofa thing .. I had jaol  come around this evening  to drop of some of  johns mail ( believe it or not 8 months down the line a  deceased  person  still gets mail  ?/ ) we sat and  chatted and  all he  had to say  to  was .. " Sandy  your  home was always peacefull and so nice and  relaxing to be  in  ".. it  has not  changed one  bit .. its  what  we  about  ..   I carry on that legacy ..

Sandy, Rhona, Diana, Bobby, didn't you perhaps see any suspicious strangers popping into the bar (er, sorry, headquarters) last night while on night shift?  I suddenly have problems posting replies, I constantly get "time-outs" from my server and it only happens in the forum.  Just wondering if you noticed anything out of the ordinary?

I think they all just fell asleep and are pressing the escape button by mistake. Everytime you post, they "escape" and your post doesn't arrive...

Bertie  .. too right  .. I  get similar  probs on this site .. have complained that the smileys freeze up  and  the  whole  reply  thing  just freezes ...   must  be the  bots ..

Hi Sandy. I use broadband, don't know about you guys. And yet my pc has problems with opening the post section. It takes ages to load the page (smileys). And then, if I'm to fast in "sending" (before all smileys are loaded) it seems the program hassels with uploading the post und loading the smileys at the same time. The end is, it takes a while. So if you have 56kb it'll take even longer.
Maybe Mike or my oldman no more.

Oh yes Aol.
Used to be better. Since they call themselves Alice (jointventeure??? haven't a clue) everthing is different. Communication doesn't work either.

When i have problems surfing with AOL browser, i switch over to firefox, that works far better

I prefer Interne Explorer. Firefox seems slower, but it's supposed to be safer.
Is that true?

Internet Explorer sometimes clashes with my antivirus program, so I'm using Firefox now.  Much better and quicker.  It's only when I'm uploading a reply.  Maybe the smiley's do have a role to play.  Sandy, we're both in CT area, maybe there's a big spaceship overhead, that's why our signal is interrupted.  I use 3G vodafone connection at the moment.

I hardly ever use I-Explorer, cant tell if that is safer.

Since i watch lots of vidoes, i found out that firefox handles that the best for me.

AOL sucks !!!!!! Tried the up and downlod tests, with AOL browser i sometimes only get 1/3 of the speed, wheere as the firefox exeeds the speeds by up to 30 %

To Jun. Go to my Homepage under links what is my IP you find that test. It only works for Germany providers.

I have no idea what I'm using, but this problem I'm having is recent ,about a week. Those time out thingy's Berties talking about and then when I want to repost I see it has posted.Also taking ages to open a page. I'm having a good moment here right now all seems to be going well,better not talk to soon .....let me try and post this.

You see, Diana, you're also in the same valley (CT).  So maybe we should be wary - might be some truth in my alien spaceship over CT theory!  Some new "bot threat" to watch out for!!!
