The Shearer Family

Does anyone know of the Shearer family. The daughter's name was Lynn and the son's name was Michael. They lived in First Avenue.

Yes I remember them, my Mom and Dad were friends of their parents: Bob and Yvonne.I have no idea where they are now.Anyone?

Yup .. wonder what happened to them .. I get the picture of the house  every time I hear the name .. totall recall ... wonder what its going to be likewhen I return ??  ..possibly a bit of overload ??

yes, there seemed to be lots of paths with wooden railings and creepers.

I remember their garden too.  I remember helping them hunt for their easter eggs one year.  For some reason they had chocolate pipes with chocolate tobacco... I thought that was soooo exotic and wondered why my Mum and Dad only ever bought us rabbits and eggs!  I remember being very scared of Yvonne Shearer..... she was soooo strict with Michael and Lyn.... put the fear of God into me!

Mike Shearer runs a tour company from his offices in Greenpoint, ably assisted by his mother. Lynn lives in Dubai with her husband, an airline Captain.

Wow!  Lovely to hear news about Michael Shearer.  That's him holding my hand in front of OPS in my photos.  My Mum and his Mum were always pairing us off together.... highly embarassing even at the tender age of 5!
