I somer hope that the Weepeee Snotklap the Bullybluebulls , then they can start to use their excuse, "But half of our span are playing for the bokke!  :emot78: "

I was'nt happy with the 22-18 win we got..... Way too many mistakes on both sides and the scrumming sucked...bigtime.... I still maintain that Heynke Van Der Merwe scrums illegally , and in support of the Lions, who have a few stars in their side, the ref blew the final whistle too early.... Well it's still early days.... lets hope it improves....

I didn't like any of the games.  Too often they just look like "ploetering" around, and stupid stupid mistakes.  More forward passes, and this "TV ref" thing, waiting for him 5 min to rewind a tape and see if there was foul play, and then the game carries on in same vane anyway.  Waste of time, what the 3 referees cant see, let a siting committee take decisions after the game.
Fortunately I got to see a good show afterwards.  Went to watch the show "Chess".  They had some great singers, and the stage techno was magnificent.

Mike, next weekend its me against you!!!!

Just something of interest.  If anybody plays on Superbru - There are 21454 players in the Currie Cup section, and this week my friend Stephanie (her nicname on Superbru is Rocky2008), is the number one!!!!  The best score prediction out of 21454 people, not bad!!!!!
I started a pool for her and her family, because my friend (her husband, Lane) had a stroke recently, and I thought it would give the two of them and their 3 boys a chance to play against each other and give them something to do together.  Wow, are they enjoying it!  Of course, Lane loves me very much now.  Because his wife Steph is doing so good with her scores, she's not missing ANY of the games now!!!  Couldn't have worked out better, now Lane can watch all the rugby without getting an earful from his wife!  SHE'S the one with the remote now!

I agree, the games were not to intense, however I (Being the FS supporter I am) must admit, that the Province games was way more entertaining...

CHess? Has that got anything to do with One night in Bangkok? u know the 80's song?

@ Mike -  bravo Yes, you're right - Only two hits from the musical really made it big on the charts: "One night in Bangkok", and "I know him so well".  I quite enjoyed it.  The lead singers were excellent, especially the male lead singer who played the role of the Russian chess player who defected to the west.  Apparently he did "Phantom of the opera" before.  Excellent voice.  The storyline also quite good.  It's a musical by Tim Rice, and the two guys who wrote the music - none other than the two boys from ABBA - Bennie and Björn!

Nah Mike, you're not really off the topic.  The Province team was the best in the 80's too! :culo1:

@ Dalene - Dankie Dalene, maar dit was darem op ons tuisveld Nuweland.

Nice to get going quite well in the beginning of the season against a strong team.  Usually our WP ouens takes a while to warm up.  Well, next week will be a big one.

@ Mike, a bet for a pizza and a beer?

What did I eat or drink this weekend?  Could have sworn they were playing in the bulkampie.....

Did not see the whole game, only parts of it and the last few minutes.  Something very wrong with dish or the satelite  -  mostly get a message on TV that says something like  -  "....connection lost.  Do not switch off.....   decoder will try to establish....    persists, contact your..."  you know the whole story. Get to see about 1 minute, then 10 minutes nothing, then only sound, ....   don't know what's wrong?  Same thing happening today...
