grab Plan? Did you say plan? Oooooh! Can I help, can I, can I, can I, huh! huh! huh! - I'd be great with plans - just give me a chance.........  pls

Michael Alexander

I'm sorry, but this plan is really complicated and requires somebody who can read the Gaelic......  image203

Oooooh! pick me! pick me!  grab  grab I thrive on complicated and I have a new translation programme so I can read loads of languages............all I need is one chance...........look what I know already - Cead Mile Failte

Michael Alexander

Er.... Uhm Yes! Cead Mile Failte, yes, er, indeed! ...... SO the big part of the plan is a question..... are you ready? Huh? Are you?....... here it comes...... How many pieces of wood will I require to braai my Kudu wors in a 27 degree moderate east wind? If the first match fails to ignite the wood, how many other matchsticks should I have prepared as backups, bearing in mind that the earth is a rotating orb, moving in a right to left direction......?

Can you do this?

If the eastwind is there, you dont need a fire, just hang the wors on a washing line and let it cook

Alternatively, no more matches ???? Use a magnifying glass to light the wood if you have any available

Go down to the beach and get some driftwood

Can I do this? Hah! I laugh at your challenge - I'm a scientist you know.....do you even know that? well; do you??? All you need is one match to start your flame; bare in mind it must be one of those extra long stick matches so you don't burn your fingers; cause there'll be a big 'whoooooosh' as the flame of the match comes into contact with the drop of petrol soaked on the wood........Now personally I'd only soak 3 pieces of wood, 4 by 2 of course; and once they are flaming mad, then I'd add 5 fresh pieces with no petrol on them - cause we don't want a petrol taste off our kudu now - do we??? Once these 5 pieces are flaming mad - then I'd pile on loads and whay hey! we are now braaing kudu.........only one matchstick; a wee drop of petrol; 3 plus 5 plus loads of wood.........ask me another? You know I can handle it.........did I get the job? Am I in charge of the braai this afternoon?

BTW ''Cead mile failte'' means ''a hundred thousand welcomes''.........so in your understanding - it is a greeting when some-one comes to visit and means you are very, very welcome

Course what I really meant to say was exactly what Daddy G said ..........uhm! can I still have the job; just give me one more chance.....

georgswa (Georg Ruf) (RIP)

Rhona, at last you have qualified as Braii Firemaster

Collect driftwood; why Daddy G I'm an expert on collecting driftwood and have some nice pieces here in my home - course Mike would be playing with his Shadow while I'd be donkeying the wood about the place......best I stay and tend to the flames, I could even count out all the marshmallows for cooking and maybe begin on melting the chocolate for dipping.......then of course, there's the bread to be made and the salads to be prepared - yeah! best Mike heads to the beach for the wood himself

georgswa (Georg Ruf) (RIP)
