Got the flu (so I thought)  -  does'nt get better.  Went to the doc this morning  .........   I got pneomonia, that's why I'm feeling so bloody bad and have a fever.  With that  -  bad sinus infection - from there the nose bleeds.

Felt like the Sishen/Saldanha train had hit me this morning.  Short of breath and had a feeling in my chest like something was clamping me.   One of the ladies here in the office decided that she's gonna phone and make an appointment for me, for I HATE going to the doctors  -  did just that and sent me off.  Actually thought the doc was just gonna say - sharrap, go drink lots of water, take two panado's if you really need to and get back to work.

No, I'm not going to hospital!  I promised to be a very good girl:  stay in bed, take my meds, do the inhaling thing and what ever is needed.

Just wanted to let you know how crappy I'm feeling now  (these are the times when you still want to say :  I want my mommy)   so you all have to substitute with the needed sympathy's like  ag, shame & oh, my poor child & gonna make you some nice soup & stay in bed, don't get up & DO YOU WANT TO CATCH YOUR DEATH.

I just know your responses will sommer make me feel better even before all the meds start working.

Oh no Dalene - mind yourself; here let me plump your pillows - I have a roaring fire lit if you want one of the 'men' to carry you to the sofa where we will wrap you in a duvet and feed you chicken soup

I just knew it!  The girls pamper me & Mike ORDERS me to get better for the VRYSTAAT game!

Maybe I should start with the Windhoek's straight away  -  you never know, they could work better than the anibiotics.

You should mix the antibiotics with the beer..... then you can feel really really cool... and you might even look younger....

For me the pneunonia  was not even a case of feeling fluey .. I just felt off form ..  went off  firstly ciggies then  vino then coffee , then food .. all  a case of the body trying to tell me sometthing ..  I was dumb stupid and not listening  .. in the meantime the tight band  around the chest that Dalene mentioned  came to the fore ..  i thought it was an asthmatc episode ... meanwile I was slowly drowning  and the more I was drowning the more irratiional i became in my own ' self diagnosis "  untill the fever finally set in ..  its the way the bug actually gets to claim its victim .. irrationality .. seen a couple of cases like that .. another colleague of mine went the same way as me ..  stress and end result a run down immune system . ... as Dalene has ahd .. rest take the medication .. and allow your body to heal ...  for me recovery turn around was 3 weeks as i was in a bad way ..  DALENE .. REST .. YOU NEED IT  !!

I am doing just that  -  reading all your postings and answering one or two here and there  -  that's when I'm awake! Meds are making we really woozy & sleepy.  Wake up every now & then with coughs and this stupid headache that sticks like glue.  Drinking lots of water also  -  sweating & fever makes me lose lots of fluid  -  scared of getting dehydrated!

Thanks for all your good wishes.  Lekker to chat to you all  -  takes my mind off worries about work and appointments with clients I had to cancell.  One client called me back this afternoon & said:  YOU JUST CONCENTRATE ON GETTING BETTER - MAYBE BECAUSE YOU BEEN ILL THAT THE BLOOMIN MARKETS ARE ALSO FEELING SOMEWHAT ILL  -  IF YOU GET BETTER THE SHARE PRICES MAY RISE AGAIN.   Just had to laugh, but warms the heart that clients become friends like that who trust you.
