The Daberas hostel was extended into the current camp

Was the little farm at Swartkops garages called Daberas? I remember one could see it properly when you reached the top of the rise on the way out of town just after the Riding Club and before getting to the bridge. You sort of looked down at the farm from the top of the rise and there was also a tower of sorts in the corner of the farm. Think "Pollie" Pollard ran the place before moving to Beauvallon or maybe he ran both farms. Stand corrected on this one.

Lance...... Daberas is were we used to do our army training.... further up the river. Remember the daberas fire wood we used to collect.

@ Clive , Nope , Pete has'nt sent his MIB's around yet..... last time we saw them in the shop, was when they came to take away all our homing pigeons.....
