Nope  ... no abuse of any kind  ..  genetic curveball ... history in family ...  would i donate a kidney if it was a loved one and i was a match ?? yes .. especially with the new technique they just devised ..  extract through an incision in the navel .. recovery time .. reduced by 50 % .. amazing how medical technology goes ..  remember  appendix ops years ago ?? huge scar and pain  .. two weeks recovery .. nowadays .. 3 small holes and on yur feet ina day or two ...  now its finally goodnght and no dreaming of steak and kidney pies  Ok ??

My 2 cent worth......

Yes; I'd give up a good organ to save a life.......that's why we were made with spare parts - if one fails we can still function and if some-one needs one then we can give up the spare......even if we don't have a spare we can give up a slice and it will grow and function normally.

For me, I carry an organ donor card and have done so for as long as I can remember - I also wanted to donate my body to scientific research but was asked not to.........
