Now that you gave me Mariaan van Tonder, wasn't the guy top left in the pic Andries van Tonder?

I actually ran into Mariaan's brother and father about 4 years ago. Her brother lived across from me in Sonstraal Heights ,Durbanville.

One boy has to be Willem van der Merwe, maybe next to Ian van Wyk?, or was he in your class, Sigmund?

@ Bertie - Cool man. Sorry I can't help with any of the names except Henry, Top row left. His surname is Taylor.

I had contact with him through my high school years. He was living in Swellendam during that time and I saw him most school holidays.
You know that Ian van Wyk and myself was together at high school from Std 8 to Matric?

@ Sigmund - Thanx, I edited it in.
Last I saw Ian was when he studied B.Sc at Stellenbosch.  They were living in Kraaifontein then.  Mariaan was in Tygerburg the same time as me, if I'm not mistaken, she studied Medical technology.  Mickey had a sports shop in the Northern suburbs if my memory's not playing the fool with me. Saw him at Krige's pub once where we watched a game.

Sigmund, nice pic!  I think the boy right hand corner, top row, is Andre Swart?  There was a Sandra Faul in the same year as you - could Sandra van Wyk (front row) be Sandra Faul?  Cannot really recognize her.

Hey Sigmund, you were a cute little boy back in the days!! 

I saw Herman Els in December last year.  His parents and mine are still very close friends and live in the same retirement village near Christiana.  Still the same old Herman!

Hi Bertie!  I think Yolanda's surname is Greeff.  Could the boy right hand corner, top row be William Brindle?

@ Andrewette - Thanx!  You're right about Yolande.  I also suddenly remembered Wanda's surname was Jacobs.  I don't think it is William Brindle though, but maybe I'm wrong.  I remember William as being taller than me, and I think he only joined our class later?

@ Sigmund - Yes, Andrewette is correct - I also think that is Sandra Faul in the front row of your photo.

@ Andrewette & Bertie - Thanx both of you! Andrewette you are right about Andre Swart and both of you were right about Sandra Faul. I actually spoke to Ian van Wyk this afternoon, before reading your postings and he also thought that her surname was Faul.

About William Brindle... If I remember correctly, both William and Derek Swanepoel were in Sub B When Bertie and myself were in Sub A. We joined them there in 1973. But I might be wrong.

Andrewette, I am still little (didn't grow much) don't now about the cute anymore.
And yes, Herman Els was allways a nice guy. His nickname was Ogies.
