Dalene, no cant say I remember that. I'm a little younger than you. no offence. I did play club Netball while working in Omund. I remember playing in a team with Helene Mathee and co. This was when I met Lanie who was married to Hugo.  Wow, I take it you are the athletic type. You were really into your sport.  I too did the choir thing at OPS, shame, I heard from Alta du Toit that Felix N died recently.

Oh yes Mike, that is exactly as I remember Hugo van Rooyen, too be honest I didnt think his marriage would last.

I went with Hugo and Werner to Newlands last year to watch the CHeetahs klap Stormers, Hugo was driving, I will never drive in a car with him again, he thinks he can see through mountains to detect oncoming cars...

In that railway bar behind Newlands, he was sober and went to look for kak with the biggest bouncer he good find...the bouncer was massive, but was scared of Hugo, he (the bouncer) figured that nobody in their right might would be in a sober state and come look for SH*T on purpose.... he is always hyper, so werner and I nicknamed him the spring....

Hugo van Rooyen was married to Elma.  I think you are talking about Hugo Badenhourst who was married to Lanie and they then moved from Ormd to Riebeek West and the last time I heard they had moved to PE or East London.

I have actually forgotten the name of his wife!  She went to school with us in Springbok and we called her Appeltjie - also forgot her surname.  I don't know if she ever was into sports - could be?????

Never mind - we all get skinnerd about sometime! - in this case we are just trying to recall the past for the good of it.  Like we say :  selfde poeding, anner sous...... 

Seems like we are sharing the pipe  -  some bad we stuffed here!  Where from ? -  Paula I suppose - seems like she keeps the good crops herself, that's why her mind is so clear.

In Helderberg - this is a serious matter!  From Oranjemund to where that girl is, is serious far 'annerkant die berg'.  No man........  Paula, now my mind is not only vacant, it's gone blank.  Can someone not explain to Hugo that his overdraft, due to long distance calls and petrol costs, might actually have to get activated and that is serious financial trouble.

Ja wat - if they want to smootch over the phone and make a lasting relationship of that, I wish them best of luck.  Who know's - it might turn out to be THE BEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED for both of them.

Hugo drives down to here at least 3 times a month, in fact she was up here 2 weeks ago for the first time.... I believe her family owns some apple farm or something.....
