What do you guys think? Should he have been arrested?

"A 24-year-old robber was shot dead while trying to break into a funeral parlour in Lebaleng in the North West, police said on Thursday.

"The undertaker caught the man breaking though the window on Wednesday night and fired a warning shot. However, the man started running and the 42-year-old undertaker shot him from behind," said Inspector Wilnarie van der Merwe.

He died at the scene. A bag containing money and CDs was found lying next to him,

Preliminary investigations revealed that the man had been released on bail on Tuesday, after being charged for possession of stolen property, said Van der Merwe

The undertaker was arrested for the murder, she said. - Sapa"

The person who approved the bail application should be arrested, not the person who's property has been violated.
Typical scenario here, the villains have more rights than the law-abiding citizens.
Ok, I'm not saying every "could-be?" robber should be shot - might be the wrong guy, or other circumstances (for instance the "robber " might have been a teenager on drugs).  Still, the rights of the innocent is always less!

:nono1:  .. yes it  appears  so ..  and yes on that level it sucks ..  where is the right and  where is the wrong .. we  have a right to  defend oursleves and our property ..  that seems to be seriously eroded . on the same token  we  cant all be " trigger happy" either ..  If I was  that undertaker  I  would have  hoofed  the  body  into  my  parlour  hid it in a  fridge  and  double  buried  it with a legit  corpse  ..   No  evidence  .. no " crime " ??

Can you believe a few years ago on the Emerald Isle - a bloke went to the pub and had a few sociables, then he had a few more and just for good measure a few more - until he drank himself into an idiot! Anyway, he staggered out of the pub and clambered into his car attempting to drive home.......unfortunately for him - he had consumed too much alcohol and ended up crashing his car causing serious damage to himself (paralysis).........and then proceeded to sue the publican for serving him all the alcohol..........wait for it..........he won his case!!! Now that sucks!
