It's not my fault that 'ol Filipe and DOnny could'nt keep pace with the Namibians...... send us some more underwater drinkers and we'll see hwta we can do with them.....   image201

The weather is cool, but clear and perfect....... but the wind has to be lurking out there somewhere...it always blows here..... Funny enough when the Creedy's returned to Oranjemund after 30 years.....one of the first things they said.... "I see the wind is still blowing!"...so a good day .... is any day when the wind does not blow......

Funny that.... and I wonder... from what quadrant does it blow more frequently? Southwest?

Michael Alexander

From the South West....it all has to do with the cold ocean and warm desert.....  msn emoticon (9)

It was not hard to guess... that's one of the reasons that shipwreck is out there, it got blown out of course.

Oh wow, so from the sounds of it, Alexandre is planning a trip to good o'l Oranjemund?  Oh I am sooooo jealous..  Think I should help Dalene with those notes.  Think its always best that two take notes.  (There is always two sides to every story) ... 202

Yes I agree that Alexandre will never get to enjoy hospitality like "Oranjemund" hospitality and he is in for a fab time if he manages to find the SPAR and MIKE ...

Just make sure you guys think about us whilst sipping on those "SIX" beers eh?
Don't sweat the small shit!

I'm not going to say too much on this, or mention any names, but it seems that there are a whole host of individuals that now want to benefit from this discovery.... this type of thing can only bring out the worst in people, wanting to  know, how or what can I get from this wreck.....

It sad when you hear the professional undersea archeaologists discussing with passion the historical importance of this wreck, not one of them that I have spoken to , are interested in shiney bright coins or the value of the loot, but rather the value in the rotten timbers themselves....

My own two cents, watch this beautiful thing turn ugly.....

Looks like I'll have to take a rain check on those beers... somebody gotta stay behind and do the archival work that needs to be done. :)

Anyhow, Miguel Aleluia - a big, burly man, that has more shipwrecks in one finger than I have in my two both hands - should be landing today at OM, together with Francisco (we as there last August). Tell him that Monteiro wants him to pay you the beer and that I'll pay him back in Aveiro... :)
