Excellent photos. I really dig the sunglasses Mrs Bailey is wearing in the photo with my Aunty Betty (married to my dad's brother Philip Bruce)  and Thelma.

My memory was right about the old club house. It was black and made of wood in parts. Thanks Don for helping me realise I'm still sane!

And as for Aubrey's woollen hat and that bloody pipe! Him and Tony Dunster were buggers for sucking on those pipes. Even my dad did and after so many years he had a depression along his lower line of front teeth where the pipe mouthpiece had worn away his toothies! And those pipes stank! I have a very vivid memory of Tony Dunster driving us to CapeTown. That pipe never left his mouth from OM to CT.....:-) And I cannot recall if the tobacco was Boxer or a mix of Boxer ans Springbok(cane in a little white and yellow drawstring cotton bag) like my dad used to smoke.

In the photos he appears to be launching either his or Vin's new Enterprise class dinghy. Either that or Vin was simply on the piss with a bottle of bubbly just 'cos he could do it! Lucky sod.

Anyway, apologies for being away for so long. I have been incredibly tied up working to 2am a lot and now have a little more to do and then I'll return to mainstream. I am involved in a $10m legal case, (prime witness) in Oslo, Norway which keeps my attention as you will imagine. So I keep having to fly to Oslo to meet our legal counsel). The court case is in October so after it is done and we win, and we will, I'll be back.
