I Went to a Tea!

So our neighbours wife had a big afternoon tea and snacks for her birthday...... I arrived 34 minutes after Michele.... entered the lounge 14 people sitting in a huddke,eating snacks,,,, baby being breastfeed........... I panicked..... where's your hubby...wished her happy birthday.......went..out to the indoor outdoor braai....Phew!  6 guys there..Beers, brandy and Whisky in there hands...that was close.... almost caught up in a mad hatters tea party.... the fire got lit...we talked shit..... it ,made a rhyme,,,,,,, the booze flowed....the chatter was good...we ran outta stock.... i went home , neighbour.... refilled.... the fire burned brighter.... the chatter louder.... I suddenly realized.... did a count outta the 6 that were there.,,,,,, 5 of us.... were sons of old Oranjemunders,,,,,, a quick tally...... 246 years of oranjemund between us........... Andre Fourie,,,,, CHris Smit.....Eugen Marais.... Mike ALexander..... Anton Burden....... History... together,,.,,, names mentioned...remember this.,,,, remember that,,,,, who did what...when..... It was awesome...... bring on the reunion!

   I think the reason Mike fled the feeding session was not so much for him not being able to help with the process   ----  his thoughts might have meandered back to the time when he was the one being fed and he had to get out before the old instincts took over!   'T s true  -  as he left he went directly for a bottle.....  !!    202
