Hopefully this is the start of reigning in of that horrible "youth" Malema!

'Disrespectful' Malema blasted

Johannesburg - Senior ANC Cabinet Minister Zola Skweyiya has criticised the "shocking disrespect" shown to Thabo Mbeki in the last year, the Sunday Independent reported.

Skweyiya, singling out ANC Youth League leader Julius Malema's behaviour as unacceptable, described Malema as an "embarrassment" to the ANC.

"People... call me every night complaining 'What are you doing about this child?' " Skweyiya said in an interview with the newspaper.

He criticised the ANC for not acting against those who had tried to humiliate Mbeki.

"We kept quiet... The way Thabo was treated was really shocking to me. Thabo was our president, whether we liked it or not.

"The fact is he was President of this country and he represented the people of South Africa... that needs to be respected if we respect our constitution."

Malema's ridiculing of Mbeki was unacceptable. The Youth League leader was an embarrassment to the party and he had to be brought into line, Skweyiya said.

Skweyiya added that Malema's conduct was un-African.

"We are Africans and an elderly person is an elderly person. We say: you shall not dishonour your parents."

It was sad that Malema had claimed he could fire ANC president Jacob Zuma.

"Who is he? He's not even a member of the National Executive Committee," Skweyiya said of Malema.

Mmm  you  beat  me to this  one Cherry ..   What  were  my words  on  the  old  order   , values and  the  breakdown of family  and  the   disrespectful demanding  child ..   ???  maybe we  get some  common  sense , responsibility and accountability  from the  new  order ..

"We are Africans and an elderly person is an elderly person. We say: you shall not dishonour your parents."

My  words  from   the  beetroot  doctor  topic  >>>

@ Cherry  .. Another  comment on the  silence of  the Malemic mouth  Julius ... In any culture  ,, My analogy ..  the  youth are supposed to  respect their elders , that is  an  obvious  result if the  elders  are  active , present ,  have morals and are  principled , .... Our scenario here was one of  absent parent , corrupt parent , .. so yes  in any "family " discipline  will crumble and the children will try to take over ...  The  youth league  are  supposed to   represent the youth ,  have common sense  discipline  and interact  sensibly with the parent ,, instead we had ranting and demanding  out of control "children" ,, and yes most puzzling still is the  age of the  youth league leadership .. ?? they no  longer  in their youth or is it an indicator of their level of maturity .. ??

methinks the temp pres  is of the old school  and yes will demand the respect  if he is the principled man he is touted to be ....

So maybe  he  has told the children to shut  up ... ??

I think that the ANC  even though  they got swept up in the  kangaman  hype and hysteria ( or too afraid to break ranks  and  speak their truth ?? )  know deep down that   JZ and his  rabble of  followers are not good for the goose that lays the golden egg ... ??
To see  sometimes  requires that you  first believe .
