So it turns out, there was a chap in town for the weekend...... Who has a court case pending...... who left town early on Sunday morning....... This chap has cases against him for breaking through roofs and cutting safes open...... How times have changed!   this chap is in the North of the country and quite a few people are looking for him..... two of his mates were arrested in Bethanie on Sunday, with money on them that they could'nt explain..... they also left Omund early on SUnday morning...... A book could be written!

mmm  seems the security checks  failed .. seems people with minor misdemenours not let in , but yes let the criminals in.. actually saw a good  system when we went to Distell for the customer trials ..  when one leaves  one has to press a button , there is a random program operating ,, and  if you press and no buzzer then you  walk through .. if buzzer goes off then you searched .. how democratic .. unlike the  cretin that was incharge of our security at the factory .. He got fired for  dishonesty   ha ha  .. he used to victimise those that he did not like ... and always seeemd to get away with it despite complaints .. TEFLON ???
To see  sometimes  requires that you  first believe .

That same system was in operation at the Shopping Centre in the 80's , here in Omund......  present(1)

When I saw you were writing in this topic I got worried. I know there are more people in town this week than usual. I was starting to get to a conclusion.

I have beeb living in O`mund from 1957 to 65.  First in the staff single quarters and later on in a flat. For neither of the doors I had a key to lock the rooms , the door for the flat was not even locked for 4a month period during my long leave.
I pity the great change . Joco

@Joco...... The change is not just here, but the world over..................

The crooks are getting brave. Not only do they repeatedly cut open the fence of our cable yard and steel drums of copper conductor, they now break into the workshop and steel the the drums of conductor that were stored inside to prevent such reoccurances. Damn lot of good that did trying to prevent the loss. 3tons in just 1 night with a bakkie, man these bastards know their story...
All things electrical contain smoke. Making it come out is easy; getting it back in? ... yeah right!!!
