My Christmas Tree

Put up our tree on Sunday and would love to see what everyone else's looks like.

   Really keen to see everyones.  Its always such a schlepp putting it up that I make sure its up for the whole of December...lol

This year we have a newly decorated front room and a kitten cat in the house so my plan is oh wait and see.........

I did it, I got my Christmas tree up - okay it's not really a tree but I decided to go with an environmentally friendly version this year.

I collected the branches from the floor of the woods behind the house and just added some festive trim -

We have never  really done the traditional  Christmas tree ... I  love the Poinsettia  its the  traditional christmas flower of mexico  so we whenever we can  we  bring live  plants  or blooms into the house during christmas ... but i have a good standby ...  a red silk  Poinsettia arrangement .. today i went to to stark Ayres nursery and bougth a white poinsettia arrangement as well plus a beautful angel  to watch over us ...  she will be incorporated  inbetween the eastern figures  .. an  eclectic  kind of mix ...

christmas  tree ..  here is a story ...  we  live  in a non secular  country ... this  is a thread on the dumbing out  / scare emails  that  appear  about the  insurgence of Islam   .. etc  etc ..  some of it is alarmist   some of it downright bordering on hate speech .. I dont take sides although abhor the arrogance  sometimes encountered ..   Now  heres a trye case of the dumbing out ..     my friend David  is  /was  good   friends with a lady who owns a very succesful coffe shop / deli .. to the point of  helping decorating it gratis for  her ...  He  noted with the festive season coing on that  she had no inkling of anything relating to  Christmas in the shop ... she replied  " I wont   be putting up decorations  so as not  to offend  my Muslim customers  .. Duuh !! ???  his  honest  retort was   ,  frying bacon  and serving  ham  in your shop  is  surely more of  an insult  to them ..  quite a true  summary ...  gist of the story is  said person has a very difficult relationship with a  very  staunch  catholic mother ...  my thoughtline is  she rebelling against the  staunch catholic background ,,, instead of dealing with the issue  witin her own soul  she chooses to  make  silly choices  and  go the total oppsosite , not  even aware of the fact  it  is  as equally if not more so oppressive ???  currently my mind boggles // If one  dares to even wear a crucifix in some of those  oil rich countries  you are  well  toast ...  uuugh  my mind just reeling at the stupidity of  people  with issues  .. the whole damm lot ...   beettre me go to bed   ..me  gobsmacked //
