Hi Oranjemunders,

According to my weatherstation on the airport it rained 68.6mm last night.

Is this a record for Oranjemund? can we get some pictures of the water down there.

Mike,

Can you grab your camera and post some pics for us?

Can you recall this much rain in history and when?  idontknow

I took my camera home yesterday, however I was discussing the record rain with the locals on the shopfloor, it seems the airport must of had a cloudburst over it, as there are no large puddles in the town itself....

the sky is still very gray here...

If that 68 mm is correct, you must have a record

I just had the newspapers find out and I got the same reply - it must have been only over the airport.

I was in doubt about the station - but if I look at the huge pool of water next to the runway it could be????
None of my other stations ever recorded wrong rain (to much).

Its the same in Windhoek _ Eros got 53mm and Hochlandpark 7mm - 2km distance.

Hope it cools down for you today as its already very hot.
