Mmm .. this man  suddenly  after  some time of silence  ( as we discover after   a disastrous stint at  private empowering ) bubbled up out of some swamp of obscurity to suddenly be a joint  spin doctor  alongside the woman of carefully couched words Jesse Duarte for the  troubled corrupt  ANC ...  and make no mistake a dangerous and articulate  user of words ( watching on the box  recently on Morning live he's damm good ) but then my nagging thought was   where is your consience man ??  theres more to you than the  silver tongue ...  well the last revelations  in   the papers and  today sunday times .. confirmed my nagging  thoughts ...  I wont elaborate too much .. its all there  in the papers ...  Home of  R 45000 rental per month Huh !!  divorced .. why do you need such a mansion .??  strings of  sms lies to   the owner  ,, currently with JZ  at court  etc ?? Who on earth  is JZ  when  you owe  fair  rental .??  One minute he apologetic  the next he blaming the party that  he is  pavlovs dog to .. for his woes ??  another instinct tells me   of a  seedy side of excess  ( dont know why )  but yes he looks the part .. a worn debauched  looking old beyond his 49 years .. maybe more will bubble out of the swamp ... ? But yes  although they accept his resignation as  spin doctor  the will  re- deploy and yes employ this corrupt person ??? couching expressions as  he is a cadre ( tried old  liberation  expression  kak talk ) and he has suffered ???  hell man  he  has had  14 + years to put suffering behind him .??   they should all follow   example of Madiba ,, put the suffering behind you and move on ...  Poor  poor  excuses ... and yes just  another example of them  closing ranks  like a bunch of  doctors when faced with a malpractice  suit ??/ I have a  simple  life  tenet .. ..... Look in the mirror  each night  and  ask if you have done honour to yourself and those   you  are employed by or  serve ??  yes  there are lots of times  if we have a good  conscious  conscience  that we cannot  exactly answer the question  ,, but then many times that  we can .... and if  we cannot  do so correctly  we try to  recify the sitaution ...  HANG YOUR HEADS IN SHAME   current ruling  mismanaging  party ...

The lying faces troubles mount .. it appears he after " stabbing them in the back" and more revelations in the sunday times .. they  putting him on extended leave with the promise of  helping him when he is " rehabilitated " ... methinks  its backburner and they hoping he just crawls into  a hole and disapears . after all he served his purpose as the white afrikaaner face  on the ANC  profile .??? any guesses ... ???
Intersting enough is the charges laid by the DA and ID  they  saying  he should not have been covered for ...Oh how the percieved mighty  can fall ...  watch this space ...

My posting of this afternoon went awol ...  anyhow here the gist of it ...
Mr Niehaus ,, has had  14 + years of " freedom " riding the wave of  ANc  patronage,  living the high life ,, earning  big bucks ,, lying his way to  better  posts that he just failed at ... If he was  so damaged  , then surely  he  would  have seen it many years ago  and taken some of that high  life money and got the necessary help to get over his truama ?? No  he  instead is like the  kid  caught with his hand in the cookie jar  blaming the fact that  the cookie jar was not  kept on a high enough shelf ,, or  that Mom or dad  pissed him off therefore he will steal cookies  ,,instead of takng personal  responsibilty  for his part   in his current situation ...    Cherry  actually this  man is not even a Mampara , he has no excuse of  underpriveleged background  etc etc ..   he  must  have as a white afrikaner kid  had a  priveveleged upbringing , yes  developed a conscience   then chose a life  and how to live it  and yes  for his efforts  paid possibly unfairly for  it  ..  how many others  spent  15   20  27 years in jail  and yes  it was not nice  but they  got up tried  to  move  on from it ..  He   suits the title of  D...head of the year ....
More so  seeing him on the box  with the holier than thou  attitude and spewing  to his bosses bidding the  convoluted truth of the ANC .. Uuugh!!

Yes he was involved with the ANC since the 80's  ,, at the time he was still a theological student , he got  involved in the struggle as they called it then ,, was imprisoned along with his then wife in I think 1984 ,, served  + - 7 years of   a 15 year sentence ... since 1994 he rode high on the back of the ANC including a diplomatic post in the Netherlands ..   and other  political patronage  appointed government posts ..  and also stints  with private firms .. all disasters .. suppose he felt  "entitled"  to big pots of money , the high life and to be able to lie and cheat as so many of his darker brothers too felt .. 
He started out well  many years ago with good intent  but then let the rot set in , that makes it worse as  he was obviously principled  but lost the plot .. IDIOT !!  he should take a page out of the book of Willie Hofmeyer he has retained his decency and works hard at ensuring justice via assets forfeiture unit .. I knew his Father as a business  associate in the 80's  and met him once at his parents home ...a quiet unassuming  person  and principled ...   see his profile .

Willie Hofmeyr was appointed to head the Special Investigating Unit in August 2001 after the Constitutional Court found that former judge Heath could not head the unit. 
The SIU is the one of the biggest agencies fighting corruption in South Africa, and its aim is to investigate corruption, and to use civil litigation to recover or prevent losses of state assets through corruption or maladministration.
In addition, Willie Hofmeyr is also one of the 3 Deputy National Directors of Prosecutions, and he is the head of the Asset Forfeiture Unit. It was established in the National Prosecuting Authority in May 1999.
The aim of the AFU is to ensure that crime does not pay. It has the power to seize assets that are either the proceeds of crime or that have been used to commit crime. Its main focus is organised crime, drug related crime, serious violent crime, and serious economic crime and corruption.
Previously Mr Hofmeyr served as a Member of Parliament for the African National Congress from 1994 to 1999 where he was Parliamentary Advisor to Deputy President.
He was also deeply involved in the negotiations for the final Constitution adopted in 1996, particularly in the chapters providing for the Bill of Rights and the Judiciary.
As a senior member of the Parliamentary Justice Committee he played a key role in the drafting of much of the anti-crime legislation adopted in South Africa over the last 7 years, including the Prevention of Organised Crime Act which provides for asset forfeiture, and money laundering and racketeering offences, the law making provision for the SIU, new bail legislation, and legislation that prescribes minimum sentences for serious crimes.
Prior to 1994, Mr Hofmeyr worked as a human rights attorney in Cape Town. He first became involved in the democratic movement in the 1970's, first in the union movement, and later in the United Democratic Front and the African National Congress. He was restricted, banned and detained without trial on many occasions.

Another note on previous posting ... For Willie  Hofmeyr  it must indeed be a double edged sword , remaining a member of the ANC yet having what one could call an unpopular post ... That is law and tracking down  high flying criminals  and corrupt acts  and asset forfeiture for such  etc . but yes he remains dedicated to his task and  to all extents seems to carry out  well enough under the circumstances ...  consider the fate of his one counterpart ..Vusi Pikoli ... they came down on him for daring to  issue arrest warrant for another  bloated  bribetaking dishonest  high flying criminal linked  tick  in the  form of  Jackie Selebi ... I do hope  he wins his appeal via the courts ... that will ut the cat amongst the pigeons ...
Anyhow More on Mr Niehaus .. soon to  Mr Nohouse ...  Ha  ha .. in tonights paper ...  he paid R 35000 rand lobola for  his latest high flying  black wife
( he ditched  his  mousey wife who  was  also imprisoned at the same time as him ,  a few years ago in pursuit of blackglam ??  )  while he was so deep in debt and owing  his  R 300 000 in rent .??   Huh !! he must live on planet Zog thinking that  party patronage would  see him through ???  Omigawd the man is indeed a delusional mess  ..   anyhow wont bore too much on that its  all on news 24  or in the argus  etc  so read it ..  anyhow a pic on the front page of the latest  Mail and Guardian that really tickled my sides ... a cleverly overlaid  number ... and yes   if one calls it mocking or parody  he deserves to be mocked and parodied  , again for his  sanctimonious  attitude ...  enjoy ..

Sorry can not leave this one alone ...  it seems our  blue  eyed  boerseun of he ANC  was also on the  board of the  really  messed up  Robben Eiland  council ,,  there is just so much news of total mismanagement over the last two years .. but then yes when you choose political patronage and  jobs for  cadres  it will be a total mess ... i await the  result of legal actions  against him and those that covered up for him ...
