goodness me, that looks like a "Heil Hitler" on the bottom left.

Is that card signed by one Zietsmann.  The policeman in the 1950's was a sarge Zietsmann.  The police station was at the gate that went to the mines and Luderitz.

Interesting, never knew this..... Georg, analyze the card, read the german writing, can it be?

actually it looks like Sussmann with an umlaut on the 'u'.

Interesting thats how my maiden name was spelt Bohme with the umlat. My father changed it to Boehme at a later stage. As I've mention before loads of photo's of my grandfather's of this time and area around 1920's. He was Paul Bohme. Leon you must realy pop over and we can go through what I've got and you can see what is relevent. Who knows what we find amongst it.

If one looks at the signature on the bottom right, the german style of writing, I find it difficult to make out the authors name, somebody who is familiar with the german language would be have been able to read it better....
