Now  so many times I read the  news here in this  haven called the  R  of SA .. and really  some  of  it  realy makes me  go       .. when I read of the  shabby man  financial advisor to JZ  release on medical  parole    my  heart  sunk .. I was  starting to draft a humorous  letter  about  his " terminal condition " seems  somebody  with same  thoughtline   beat me to it .. its  hilarious   and  yet  sad  in that its a parody of  what  really  goes  down  in this  country ...  so  yes  when I read  it I  went   
read  and  enjoy ....




SHAIK SURVIVES FIRST NIGHT AT HOME, BUT TERMINAL CONDITION WORSENS

DURBAN. Convicted fraudster Schabir Shaik has reportedly survived his first night back in his luxury Durban mansion after serving 84 days of his 15-year prison sentence.  Shaik's doctors have confirmed that he is in the final stages of a terminal condition called "life", and that the condition is irreversible. "We can only pray he makes it through the next 30 years," said one.

Shaik's medical parole ended the former businessman's harrowing prison ordeal, during which he spent 220 out of 304 days in a private hospital.

However Shaik's personal physician and longtime friend, Dr Kildare Scott-Free, told journalists this morning that Shaik's prognosis was "very grim".

"Prisoners only get medical parole if they are in the final stages of a terminal condition," said Scott-Free.

"In Schabir's case, the ANC-approved parole board found that the condition in question was an awful and debilitating disease that we in the medical fraternity call 'life'."

He said that "life" had a zero-percent survival rate.

"Sufferers usually die within about 80 years of contracting the condition," he explained.

He confirmed that Shaik had survived his first night back at home, but that the condition had worsened slightly.

"Each day that goes past the sufferer loses about 24 hours," explained Scott-Free.

"Last night it was touch and go," he said. "At one point he couldn't find the remote for the plasma screen and his blood pressure shot up.

"But we managed to calm him down by showing him his latest bank statement."

Shaik recently received R5-million from the state as compensation for interest lost when his assets were seized following his convictions.

However Scott-Free said that last night's emergency was a grim sign of things to come.

"We can't always be there to give him the remote and remind him how rich he is," he said.

"The outlook isn't good. I'm not sure Schabir will make it through the next 30 years.

"This really is the end."

Meanwhile the ANC has denied that it fast-tracked Shaik's parole because Jacob Zuma was running short of cash and needed "a little pick-me-up until payday".

Like i said  Mike  ,, its a sad parody  of what really goes down ...  next thing you know the " terminally ill ' man  would be snuck out of the country on   airforce one .. and nicely settled in malaysia  ??         find a good vet  please  somebody ...

Well done .. Dr Naidoo a cardioligist  at the last  hospital  that old shabby was at  for opening  his mouth and saying that he peronally discharged  shabby  in  November  last year as he regarded him as fit enough to return to prison ...   despite that  by some miracle the shabby shake was  kept  at the same hospital till his  medical parole .. .. he now today says he now fears reprisal ...  dont blame him  .. there is a blanket of silence and the  hospital will only allow  communication through its   by now  "ANC approved spokespersons " ... ha  ha ..   It takes my mind back  to many years ago in the 80's a certain Dr Wendy Orr  spilt the beans  on the  district surgeons  in the eastern cape  because she  as an intern  could not  abide the cruelty and medical cover up  on  horrbly tortured   political prisoners .. she  had a conscience  and   could  not do cover up  it goes against the hippocratic oath and  common human decency ...  she was deep in the  shyt for that one  indeed  in fact was lucky she too was not locked up in those dark days  when  if you  opnend your mouth you were an enemy of the state .. a K... boetie .. a Kommunis ... whatever  label of fear they could attach ... but make no mistake  by the amount of silence  and cover  up  that  Thabob Mugabeki  really started  and his  now predesseors and in  fact the ANC as a whole .. we should be getting very worried ... its heading back to those  dark old days  where people  will be  scared to open their mouths  for fear of reprisal  or being  locked up ..     observe the only members of the ANc that have  ever  really been fired are those that did not  toe the party line and instead  talked their conscience .. take  Ms Routledge ,, she  dared to oppose  Dr  Manto beetroot  of the fried liver ... she got the boot and was suddenly  hounded  for ' unpaid  debts "  unlike the  party line  faithful of the travelgate scandal that  even after being found guilty   or admitting guilt  still warm their seats  in parliament ... its a f... joke .. and yes scary ...  modify .. spell check ..oops
