Spar .... not so quiet!

Well, I was really chuffed to see the number of people in the Spar today...... So much for the town emptying out..... there was at one count , 67 people standing in the queue....... we achieved our target for the day......

So in essence all the doom and gloom about the town emptying out.....is not as bad as we all feared.... lets just hope ...people in the 1st world start to invest in diamonds....

Sounds encouraging Mike ... lets not forget here on the tip of africa we have not had banks collapse and the disaster of NYSE .. yes our sttocks dropped but nowhere like in Sell Buy Sell land ... and the best is ,, all the reckless banks have collapsed so in essence all that should hopefully happen is a slow sensible upswing with no panics ... lets hope not too slow ,, so that the world will start buying again ...
I had a quiet chuckle while reading a packaging publication the other day .. the Editor welcomed a staff member back to the team .. story as she put it .. she and her partner left SA and set up a yacht charter company in the Carribean islands to cater to rich american tourists ... aptly put she said the americans suddenly dont feel so rich anymore so they closed up shop and came back to SA ...

I have seen reports that there are quite a few South Africans returning from overseas..... retrenchments over there, suddenly South Africa does not seem so bleak after all.....
