Andy died while being on a course .@ Welkom . He fell backward from a 6 ft wall while attending a braai. next day transfered to Bloemfontein. but it was too late. he died from brain haemorage .

yes I knew the Morrows well , Ivan & Nan was our neighbours @ Oranjemund 15 th Ave.. Andy came to Koffiefontein as a learner .
nextdoors was Cas an Katinka Catle and then the Morrows

I remember the Morrows having lived in 5Th. So they probably moved as their kids had left home?

The year Andy died was 1993, it must've been about April/May and their daughter (I think her name is Zoe) was born not long afterwards.

There is a plaque outside the library with Ivan's date of death on it - will have to drive past tomorrow and have a look.

George , you are quite right . Ivan and Nan lived in 5th Ave. Our neighbours was Cas and Katinka Castle , and then it was Jacky Carr. Andy died in 1993 :emot186:

His mother Nan moved to Somerset West or Gordons Bay . staying near to Aldrien Collard [ sister @ hospital ] I have to go through old correspondence for Aldrien's address in Somerset .

Hi Michele-
Why was Ivan "given" a plaque? Could you send me a pic of it please?
I thought Andy died more recently, but he was only 29 at that time.
