We spent some great times at Shepards Neck.Esspecialy when we went there without addults.
Once we playes a Matabele against Zulu game, when nSteven Worth slipen and cut himself so deep in his leg you could see his bone. Scary, but we kept cool and managed the situation over walkie-talkie fantasticly. I only remember a boy names ... de Owen being there. Anybody recal this stuation? Was anbody out there with us?

The story goes that the GM at the time instructed one of the foremen named Mr Shepard to fix up the site to be used by the Cubs, Brownies, Scouts and Girl Guides. Being a good man he build everything that he could think of that the kids would like.
On receiving the final costs the GM was so annoyed at the overrun on the initial budget that he was heard to exclaim "I'll have Shepards neck for this!!"

Rats! I didn't think you'd get it that fast. Kenny's answer was pretty close to what I recall, although Brian Shepard would probably have chuckled at being called a foreman, as he was an engineer I believe! legend has it that he was over budget regarding time and finance, and when called in to explain he was heard to say; "This could be my neck" or words to that effect. Well done Kenny!
