BAD SERVICE -- THE PAINTER FROM HELL ...

Had my fair share of problems with  Delta motors years ago ...  parked my  93  opel  Kadett outside their premises .. with  window notices stating it was a dud ...  all  I had  asked them for  was to  replace the vehicle with the same model with  + - same Km  as  yes the one I had  had too many  problems form date of delivery ... well they did not listen ,, their price ?/ anything that went wrong  even  if out of warranty was replaced FOC ..  that  was a directive  from  delta  head office ...  Ok incinvenience .. but  you could see their faces drop when i arrived ...
Ok now  my painter .. I was looking for a good painter to take  care of all the big jobs  eg roof painting and  work with heights  which i previousloy took care of myself , but yes  it robs  me of  precious  liesure time ..  so i got  people in .. took them  onto roof etc  showed what i wanted ..  told them I was picky and not shy to climb up on roof to inspect and yes  they had to have banking details as i did not pay cash , I  dont like to lose track of payments , and electronic keeps track .. most did not come  back ... then along  came Mr bright boy ... MNA  enterprises ... looked professional .. acted  professional ..  said all the right things ...  measured etc .. two days later got a professional  quote via email ... 50 % down .. rest on completion .. i still went back and  made sure they understood the paint spec  properly .. no  cheap  paint etc  and the amount of coats .. the quote said starting date  4th  May  and  anticipated  schedule being  7  to 10  working days weather dependent ..  well it  started badly first day  I  di toys out of cot about supervision which i thought  was lacking  and  not conducive to  a  proper job  being done ..  deaf ears ...  more  issues .. job  ended up dragging  out  till  last week .. i got them off site ...  still not  entirely satisfied still sitting on my remaining 50 % of payment .. considering  penalty  cos   of the lack of professionalism and falling  way  out of the scope of the time  frame ... ???  what do i do ??

Chris .. i nearly klapped this man off the roof .. when I demanded a site meeting .. he looked gobsmacked  when I showed him errors  and shoddy work .. told him .. its cos you were not here at start of day and end of day  , as  it should have been ,, anyhow the job  " complete "  with the  minor  glitches and i still got my  remaining 50 %  securely in my pockets ,, and he  not  even made an attempt to  ask for it ..  and  I willnot move  till he asks ,, and then  shoot him down in flames again .. just glad to get them off site .. got other jobs need doing ...

Hi Sandy, there is a great web site "hallopeter.com" There you can list bad service and check out if the company concerned has any other complaints. The site is great and you can have your say too, and warn other prospective clients about your problems with them. have a goodie.

Ta ,,, the man has not even bothered to send  the  account  for " completion "  Ok so the job is complete , but yes  aside from some good work done there are still a couple of glaring  small things .. all a result of lack/ poor supervision .. so I'm still sitting on my 50 %  and he can blow bubles through his       cos I think he's too scared  to email the completion account  cos  so far the content of my  correspondence has not been kind .. Mmm maybe  he just slinks away .. but then  his unsupervised painters did more work than they should have ,, and my conscience tells me that we have to strike a deal .. or else  Karma  will get  me ... No Mike  she not the other gorl  trolling on Sea point main road ....
