What are "Polls" and "Votes"

Hi Michael.
Thought I'd put my questions here, because it may of general interest.
In our profiles we have the options: "Number of Polls Created" and "Number of Votes Cast". What does that mean? Couldn't find this in the help-menu.

Hi Georg Jnr, Polls and Voting is a function that Is not  enabled on this board, but works on all the others.. In essence , what you can do is create a poll, by asking a question, and giving forum members optional answers which they may vote on..... You may create a poll, by clicking on the button on the blue bar when you post that says "Add Poll"

We have only had 3 polls in the last four months, but give it a try, you can't break anything...

So this means, I can vote on something someone has written? Something "special"?

Off course you can create a poll on anything you want to...i.e the rail strike in Germany.....
and as a member of the forum you can vote on any poll that anyone else creates...
