Sounds about right Alf but thought Mittag closed in the early 1990's. Also I think Uubvley Single Quarters closed in the early eighties.
There was a chef that stayed at Uubvley during the early eighties that used to visit town of a Friday evening and go back of a Sunday, not sure of his name but could be Nick Buchan (spelling)

Hi Alfred

Ronald Fuffner says that Affenrucken single quarters was already closed when he started working out there in 1982.  I left at the end of 1974, so it would have closed between Jan 1975 and 1982.  Be interesting to find out exactly when . . . .

Alf, Affrenucken Hostel's mess and old kitchen was modified in 1981 to accommodate the new cooking system. This was supposed to have been implemented in February 1982 but due to the fire at the Central Kitchen on the Saturday before it should have gone "on line", this was put back until July 1982.

I don't know if the old log books will be of any help though as I'm sure many of the buildings were still used for other purposes.

Can't remember where Nick went to
