Andy and I where appies (electrical) together, we then where called up to do our army stint, I remember he never enjoyed his army days. He was a great guy

Yes we where appies in O/Mund I dont remember you started my appie days in 1984 still working in O/Mund Andy was very adventurous I remember him going down a dump slope on a piece of wood he loved sailing, wind surfing ect Andy was a little older than me

Andy and I were born 1964 and just 1 1/2 months apart.
We went to std. 4 and 5 together in Mrs. Ralphs class. She was quite ambitious about hocky. You must know her to.
Where did you get your german name from?

My Dad is from Germany he started working in O/Mund 1959 and retired in 1991
I was born in O/Mund I must of been in std 2/3 ? when you and Andy where in std 5

Do you still live in om? I always wondered how some peopke could stay so long. Most people left after 5, 10 or 15 years.

Andy and were facinated by Huck Fin. So obviously we dreamed of building a raft. I suppose we sort of thought, if we just believe hard enough we'd get to the goal. Standing at the yacht club we always imagend what it be like letting the raft to water on the side of the lagoon none of the boatsman ever went.
We never got any further than "imagening". Wood, old empty barrels, rope, nails... Oh forget it.
I remember Ivan smiling about the idea.

Georg Jnr, there are some people still here 47 years... top of my head of longtime people still here..Mike Stenson, Freddie Arendse, Sharron Wilson Holland, Terry Holland, Rosmarie Van Rensburg (Muller), Coreen Swanepoel......

We were meant to be here for only 2 years....that was 37 years ago, but I have no reason to leave, Have a good job, get to work with my wife, live 3 minutes walk from work, school still good for my two kids, brother is my neighbour, Wifes parents live 2 houses away, the nights are safe and really silent....

So I won't be leaving till I have toooooooo......

I probably know Freddie. He must be 1 or 2 years younger than me.
Is Sharon the daughter of Mrs. Wilson the teacher? I believe she had a daughter named Sharon. Blonde?
Swanepoel. I remember Mark and Sharon Swanapoel. We were togetheter in standerd 3 with Mrs. Coffin, I think.

Freddie's mom ran the cooldrink factory......sharons mom was indeed the teacher Mrs Wison.... Coreen's brother is Derek Swanepoel....

Then I have a slight memory of him. Never delt with him, but knew him by sight.

Is this Coreen Depola (not sure of spelling).Another brother was Johan Depola. Played in a band back then with Johan Krige.They were our neighbours in E15/11
