Well a story came out this week....... Marlene and Peet Bezuidenhout , of the Dry Cleaner Days, returned to Oranjemund for a few weeks to babysit their son , Andre's house and business whilst he was outta town..... it was great to see them both in the shop and my dad, Jock is looking forward to a wee get together with them....

Jocks tale..... which he keeps repeating to me every year.,..... there was a farewell braai at the angling club for Frankie Quirk back in the day..... Kempie (Johan Kemp) was doing the braai, and had some stukkies wors as an appetizer..... when he gave my dad a piece, Jock recognised it as Peet's homemade wors, Kempie was really impressed that this Scotsman knew the different people's wors ..... Anyhow for years , Jock kept on telling me the tale, of how Peet Bezuidenhout made the best homemade wors in Oranjemund's history.....

On seeing Peet's wife, Marlene in the store, I retold her the tale...... she laughed , and stated, that the wors was not made by Peet, but by herself..... so for 30 years, Peet got the credit, but Marlene was the gal behind the wors.......

Just a short tale....

Jock was amused, and stated that the best wors in town was made in the following order:

1) The Bezuidenhouts Wors
2) Daan Steyns Wors
3) Lou Griffith Richards Wors.....

SIgh! The Wors wars made the Boer war seem pointless.....
