The race card ?? still playing the old record ??

As the title goes .. Grmph me  been quiet for a while ... but yes in the papers.. And yes i'm tired of the race card still being played  all  the damm time ... the  ANC aligned  continue to play the race card .. hell man its   about 15 years down the road , but when caught out  , denied position or controversy raises its head  they and their cohorts play  the race card ...   the  crowning part of this  was  some of the comments about Caster Semenya ..  but yes the build up ... The dishonourable Shlope .. somehow he now suddenly not  to be investigated by the JSC  despite the huge clouds hanging over his head ,,,hell man Judges  are supposed  to be  beyond reproach and  yes  follow law and set examples ..  the  legal action being  initiated  is  to make the JSC  do the job  it  first  said it would  do .. it has not .. but  yes the responses  hold the shlippery slhope as a" transformation "  hero .. and the  people that  want  to see due justice  follow  are being labelled racist .. the  proposed new head of transnet also has clouds hanging over him regarding tenders etc  and  the current board  are blocking  him ..  they are now labelled as  white racists ..so many more examples ...  now  who is actually being racist ?? come  come now .. good governance   and  honesty is top priority  here .. not  racism ..
Now  to the  sad story of  Caster  Semenya ...the opinions coming in .. " oh its jealousy cos  she's black " etc etc , fact is  there are many excellent  winning black runners out there.. never a question raised  when they won in fact  black women  are regarded as the best  long distance runners  ... there were a few that  were also questioned  vis  gender .. fact is there are women out there who are blessed with  stronger more muscled bodies , they are exception .. and  yes the gender issue has been  raised a few times with Russian and some eastern athletes  with some justification .. ( never a squeak there )
My heart  goes out  to  this young  woman ..  I believe she  was a pawn in a  cynical game  .. one could draw parralell to  the Zola Budd of many years ago  ..  suddenly  and conveniently with the blessing of the then government allowed to get a British passport ( in those days they gave one all hell if one wanted to claim  ancestry the word " verraairer "   comes to mind )  ultimately  they were only concerned with a win for SA  now matter  what the circumstances or consequences ..  her dream of  running and glory  ultimately  smashed ..  Now Ms  Semenya  and yes I  do regard her as  female  as  she was raised as such  and has  all the  correct  externals  corresponding to the gender .. Problem is  the South African  athletics  authorities  should have had  alarm bells ringing a long time ago ..   she  has   from listening on  TV etc  a very masculine voice is  yes  very muscular more a strapping boyish look  than a young woman .. sure they did a " test" here .. ie a visual look at external parts , but surely they should have know have known from previous  controversy  that she would raise questions ..?? Now if those press reports  are really accurate  a more thorough  examination  would have  revealed  her  actual status ?? Simple questions like have you ever menstruated would also have  revealed that something was amiss ..
I think they  just  went on ahead greedy for a win .. pushed this poor young woman into  the limelight also not  thinking of consequences ..  and now ??  she  is there for all to see  , and yes  for some cruel  folk to regard as a freak .. Hell man  the  rotten Cape flats  tabloid  the  Voice even airbrushed  the  bulge   of  a penis into  her  shorts ...  they should be  sued for that ...  Simple fact is  there is nothing racist  here  just  that if her condition  is  as the  press says  has an advantage over other women  if  she has a  higher  testosterone level .. hell man they even check male athletes for hormone doping  for advantage ... I just hope that common sense  and not emotion  prevails  here  and that people see that a huge mistake was made and yes  try to prevent future mistakes  on all levels ...

Mmm  no takers or comments here ,,  too  contentious ,??  been folowing up papers  down to the Mz Winnie  also stooping to the race card ... now who's the racists ??  if  so obsessed it indicates a problem .. ??  What happened to their  credo of a non racial society ?  or is it just on theor terms .. Mmmm

I read your post Sandy and didn't have anything to add really. I agree with all that you have said here.
Whatever,whatever regarding Caster the racist card had to played and that peeved me especially that ANC Youth League dude.

On The Rights Of Whites

ALLOW me to comment on the diplomatic row that the South African government has created in condemning the recent ruling by a Canadian Immigration and Refugee Board that has granted refugee status to a white South African on basis of racial persecution, which should as well be a lesson for Namibia.
Sadly, Canada has now succumbed to the South African pressure by trying to reverse the ruling in a Federal Court, which will send the wrong message to all those, mainly whites, who find themselves trapped under the "Zimbabwe" type of government.
Today, Namibian experiences with South Africans has been the same where whites have become the punching bag of insults, intimidation, discrimination and threats by so-called liberation heroes – as seen in both countries.
Thus, the Canadian Immigration and Refugee Board must be commended for granting refugee status to a man who fears for his life on racial grounds.
Certainly, on the same grounds a black person would have secured refugee status, in any democratic state, during the Apartheid era.
With this political embarrassment, the ANC-led government will not acknowledge the fears that white South Africans experience because of their skin colour. Denial becomes the only solution by a government caught off-guard.
And calls to overturn the ruling will be the worst form of injustice against a helpless person.
Interestingly, some feared white threats are at times encouraged or tolerated by the very political leaders in South Africa that are crying foul to Canada's Immigration and Refugee Board decision.
For example, during the ANC political campaign for the party leadership, one could not help but listen to all those liberation songs that call for the killing of white South Africans, in addition to political hate speech by some ANC leaders.
As for Namibia, many threats have been made against white Namibians by politicians, acts which at no point were condemned by the Namibian leadership.
Needless to say, times have changed and so should "stupid" toyi-toyi liberation songs that threaten white lives come to an end in Namibia and South Africa.
With such irresponsible statements which incite hatred and threaten people's lives, any normal family would be scared – black or white.
Surely, all human beings, black or white, have rights in the pursuance of peace, justice, freedom and happiness. And if they cannot find those cherished ideals in some countries, then they have the whole world to go to – as no one should be held in bondage.
Other than trying to make an issue of one man, the South African government must start cleaning its backyard before crying foul, and so should countries like Namibia take this as a learning experience – if future embarrassments are to be avoided.

With regard to the Namibian Statements...... I always wondered about, how certain high level politicians make these racist utterances, 20 years after independence..... and there is no backlash...some of these comments are not even mild, and nothing happens..... but if I , as a white Namibian stand up and say things like shoot the black man, as he cannot govern properly or he oppresses white people, all hell would break lose and I can assure you that I will have a visit from some official people..... funny how things work.....

Well the Ms  Caster  worms are indeed crawling out of the can... Pretty much the  premise I insinuated   at the start  of the topic .. appears the  SA athletics  head honchos  were  advised  by a  Dr Adams  ealy in August  to not send her to Berlin ..  sadly  so they did  in their greed for a gold ...  So now Ms Caster Semenya has  been sacrificed   for gold .. not nice  and again I repeat my  earlier  sentiment .. my heart goes out to this  innocent  caught inthe middle of others  cynical  moves ..
