Was at a braai the other day and JD vd Merwe brought up the name along with a few others from Baker's Bay in the 80's. Anyone know of Dries's wherabouts?
All things electrical contain smoke. Making it come out is easy; getting it back in? ... yeah right!!!

I remember Dries. Wasn't he spotted by the chopper between Oranjemund and Bakers Bay hiding under the Land Rovers steering wheel one Sunday night??

Could well be... from what i've heard he's also quite a character, so anything would be possible.
I posted the topic on JD's behalf. So far seems like those who are still active on the forum and know of the chap have lost any contact with him.

I last saw him around 1985 working at the quarry in Eersteriver, Cape. If I recall he left Oranjemund around 1983. Was good friends with Ian Bester (Lange) who went back to Wellington around the same time.
