Ok! I could'nt post this earlier, as Zandy's daughter was organizing a surprise 70th Birthday bash for Zandy and I did'nt want to ruin anything..... But anyhow.... Happy 70th Birthday Zandy, I hear that the party was a memorable event indeed.......

I was   with Cherry  this afternoon ... a nice braai  out at her brothers smallholding ... we said  it would have been fun if we all could have  as ex pupils  arrived as  a part of the surprise .. pity so ..  he   remains a  remarkable person  in our memories ...

Yes Mike, he was.  I just didn't want to use the "R" word... they were our (Barnato's) biggest enemy.  Oppenheimer was never a threat, only occasionally in the swimming gala...
