Certain individuals are pushing for proclamation come hell or high water....

It matters not what the residents want.....
It matters not what the extra financial burden on households will be....
It matters not that certain individuals in Nampol have expressed their concern about a rise in Crime after proclamation....
It matters not that the Gov is battling with the majority of municipality's that are bankrupt and unable to fund themself's
It matters not that certain people are already aware of the fact that the town of Oranjemund is not in a position to sustain itself financially and never will be...

It was however reassuring to hear from an old Tate' who has been here for awhile that the main people pushing for the proclamation are not doing this for the good of the town or it's residents but rather for personal gain, be it financial status or to be the chief....... it is alleged that more than one of these individuals wishes to be the chief.... so this could get interesting....

A prominent person in financial circles once pointed out to me ..... that when local elections occur, the people that are voted into power or not the right people to deliver the services, but mere figureheads who tend to drain the revenue of the said municipality....
