Hello Paul,Thanks for the kind words, Im doing fine for an old fart, since leaving Omund spent almost 30 years in Canada in Windsor Ontario, spent the most of that time working for General Motors, now for the past 4 years in USA just outside Detroit in Belleville---Familys great ,four Grand children keeps me amused, I would love to visit Omund at least one more time , I was disscussing visiting with old Jock just before his untimely passing so maybe I wont make it after all, I was really coming to see him. Give me some details on your life--where were you from 1967 to 1973-- just to jog my memory--and where are you at present? my best wishes,John.

Hi John, thanks for the reply. I was in boarding school til 1970. Started apprenticeship in 1971 and was in the army from June 1971 to April 1972. I worked with you at 4 Plant if I can remember. Preter Rough was our foreman at that time. Alwyn Huisamen, myself, Eddie Jones, yourself can't remember the others were together at that time at 4 Plant.

Hello Paul, Yep I knew Peter Raugh well worked with him at North Construction from 1967 untill he was given the Foremans job at 4 Plant. Alywn was my appie in the Power Station the last couple of years I was there.I never actually worked full time at 4 Plant must have been doing a job over there.I was supposed to take over as Foreman back at North Construction but we left before that became a reallity, and as far as I know Johnnie Rall Snr took that position after I left.

Thanks Mike,I may take you up on that offer some day. Going to Scotland in September ,visiting my Brothers and Sister,in training for all the Scots Pies and Black Pudding I may consume during my stay. Best Wishes.

Hi John, then it must have been at the Power Station with Les Head, Roy Fields, Frankie Quirk, Ginger Olivier and can't remember the rest of the crue. Good tiomes had there making bombs LOL. You correct, Johnny Rall was the foreman at North Construction. I remember being at the Power Station when Johnny's guys got burnt onthe lines they had to clean. Johnny was dragged over the coals.

@John, there's a memory, whenever my folks went back to Glasgow, they would consume a vast amount of square slice, black puddin' and pies..... my dad's parent's and brother could never understand why they did this....

Hello Paul, Were getting closer,I took over in the Power Station from Ginger who was not in good health so he was moved to Town Electric and I was moved to the Station as Chargehand. Before that we had been working in the second station at 10h I think. So it was an easy fit to move to be in charge of both. Your right all those characters worked there including Oppie Operman and Jack Mc Bride I think was the foreman.
