I'm sure she'll remember you John - the Lodge was a tight knit community on it's own and was a big part of our life before my dad passed away.  I myself still remember very well the Xmas parties, the Easter egg hunts and general Lodge family get togethers and braais.  I remember my mom and dad getting all dressed up and going to the Lodge Installation functions held annually.  If i remember right they also held a Ladies night every year too.

Yes Delia those were the days,I was only in my twentys when in Omund,so most but not all my friends were older than me especially at the Lodge.I was kept pretty busy between functions at the Moths and Lodge. Was Lodge Secretary the last two years I was there, giving Les Head a break from those dutys.I hope to visit again some day,to get it out of my system. Maybe when I retire again I will make the trip. I always had the highest respect for your Dad,he was very helpful when I took over from him in the Power Station, especially when he really didnt want to move, thats class. Where has the time gone I lived in Canada for over 30 years now in the USA the past four years.Keep in touch my e-mail is on the site. Best wishes John.
