NO VICTIM OF CRIME

I got this email from a colleague today ,,   close to two months ago  her home was invaded by four criminals ,, well if you read  the mail   she sent to all at work writing  her feelings openly  , she  is no victim ,, firstly she fought back ,  secondly  she took heed of this as a reality check  of the times , thirdly acknowledged that she and her  son  were damaged by the  incident ,, lastly  she is not budging ,,,  where she stays  is her home  and that this country is her home .. read  below  .. I have removed the names   ,,,

Good afternoon all!
Its taken me a while to write this Thank You note, but I' suppose that was all part of the healing process I had to go through. Talking about it was hard enough!
As most of you know, but for those who don't, & might hear about it through a 3rd party,  3 men broke into my house  just after midnight on July 23rd and through the struggle to help, and protect me, my  son C..........  stabbed two, wounding one fatally. He didn't die on my premises, but in the next road. The other  3 men were apprehended and are still in custody with what we believe to be quite a few other cases against them. We were notified by the police this week, that there will be no charges made against C.............., WHICH MEANS ALL OUR PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED!!. My son, who has such a gentle soul, did NOT need to experience this!
I would like to thank my sister R....... , (who started smoking that night :-(  ...very naughty Sis, but I could easily have lit one up too)   without you I don't know what I would have done .. You came in and took over, reassured me constantly during this past month when I was freaking out.. Kept  me informed regarding the progress of the case, because I didn't and still don't have the guts to find out!!!   Y......., for being there for us every moment, sharing every tear and helping me through all the fear! (and still doing so).... My colleagues, you were and still are amazing.. Thank you 
Thank you everyone for  your visits, your phone calls, the laughter,  ALL YOUR PRAYERS,  your support,  your kind words, because I could not have dealt with this without you and God!  I have the most amazing friends and family! I love you all so much!
This is the country of my birth, and what a beautiful country we have. I will not lose faith in its people because of what has happened to my family.. Crime can be remedied. We have to find a way!! I've been asked to pack up and emigrate... I said no. I checked out the property market and looked at other houses, but this is my home! This is where I've felt safe for over 10 years, this being my only serious incident.  We now have Spanish Style burglar bars on every window and a supped up burglar alarm system. I've been sleeping through, with all the indoor lights off for the past two weeks and feeling  great!
C....  and I have almost completed our therapy and it has definitely helped.. The very first thing the psychologist told us to do, was to celebrate being alive!!!  We are :-) We thank God everyday as I can honestly tell all of you that our angels were all around us that night... Protecting us.. Both C......and I had unbelievable strength and yet up to this day, I cannot remember a single face.. Is that God's work too?
