First social bowls evening of the season, and what a turnout...... All in all there must have been more that 40 people at the club, a full moon, no wind , a roaring fire , great music...... reckon there must have been at least 16 folk rolling them marbles down the lawn,

It was great to see Gary and Leticia Gray at the bar, Mike Burgess also...... Ed Jones was in town and Rory Allen......

Terry Holland and Jono Smith keeping the fire stoked outside.....all in all a very lekker evening.....

I was angry to read this morning of the four year old girl that was raped at murdered in Keetmanshoop yesterday, she was found gagged and her face had been smashed with a blunt object..... Police and the Defence force are currently hunting the suspect down, and the community are baying for his blood...

Sorry to piss all you liberals off, but they should bring back the death penalty.... hang the bastard from the nearest kamelthorn tree.....

On another note, it was amusing for me to read yesterday that the major new uranium mines up Swakop way under produced for the quarter by a 4.5%, shareholders were not impressed, the explanation goes on to explain that the wrong ore was put through the plant and the incorrect area was "mined"...... Gee! I thought to myself, I remember when this mine of ours was having a similar scenario during the last two years, I also wondered if all those "educated" folk that left this mine and headed for yellower pastures at the Uranium mines had taken their skills of mining and processing the wrong grounds with them....

ThatStinks2 Almost bed time and out in the kitchen the bloody washing machine has leaked all over the floor; okay so there are tiles in the kitchen so not too bad, but the leak went in under the floor boards in the hallway - now I squelch every time I'm in the hallway.......but you know what the absolute confusing thing is, the washing machine wasn't switched on, it wasn't even plugged in and the door was open - the drum just filled with piping hot water and overflowed out of it..........  ThatStinks2

Michael Alexander

I thought the Irish never used washing machines, they just plonk their laundry outside on the hedge seeing that it always rains over there...

Whilst pouring me all bran flakes , I noticed the pretty girl on the box, all decked out in her skimpy clothing and wondered how much all bran I would have to consume to look like that....er,,,,without the curves and all.....

Mike, it's not how much you would have to consume but how long you would have to wait before you started to eat again before you could look like that.

Mr. Mayor of Kathexas and Mr. Owner of the building and Mr. main electrical engineer  -   I am a novice where it comes to electricity, but my half good mind tells me that there is no way that you can install a 60 amp breaker for a building that houses 8 different comanies, each with it's own offices who all have aircons, lights, kitchens with kettles, microwaves and fridges, runs vacuum cleaners, telephone and other electrical power outlets.

Sirs, my half good mind tells me that the power will trip every hour.  My half good mind tells me that you need to invest in a bigger mini sub and up the amp and voltage supply to this building.  We do not like conducting business in the dark ...  our clients tend to think that we are hiding stuff.  Our computers needs power in order to keep working.

Sirs, also do I need to bring to your attention that law on building regulation stipulates that since 2004 all new buildings must from start be compliant as to make provision for disabled people .... this building is one year and 3months old and nothing of those regulations has been adhered to.  Neither do you answer to mails or comlaints about this.  Are you aware of the fact that I have to call for help to get my son and other wheelchair people up the stairs into my office?  Sirs, I don't think I need to tell you that should one of these people fall and or injure themselves further, that you are liable for a very big civil claim against you?

PS :  I have sent the same to a local newsletter  -  somehow I don't think it will get printed .......

Well, my first thought on rising today was that 6 years ago today my beloved aunt Val (Gavin) was brutally taken from us by some thug who's still wondering the streets out on R500 bail, some of you may remember her, she left O'mund in 1981.  Something i cannot fathom & cannot wrap my head around - you get fined R1000 for not having a TV licence and R500 bail for murder - what's wrong with that picture I ask myself???  As for the investigation, don't get me started on that one!!!  Why is it that if you're someone "important" they've suddenly got all the manpower in the world and the case gets solved in like yesterday, yet if you're just another joe soap they play the backlog card and "they're too overworked to get to it"!!!

Anyway after my rant above (just had to get that out my system).........this morning in my quiet time, while Caryn & the animals were still sleeping, the house was still, it was just me & the birds greeting the new day with their sweet songs in the trees outside my bedroom window (my favourite time of the day), i promised her i'm going to celebrate her life today and remember only our good happy crazy times and not dwell on the negativity that still surrounds her death.  I rest in the knowledge of universal order & perfection, that divine universal justice will prevail & the perpetrator will reap the consequences of his actions, perhaps not in this lifetime & by our limited perception of justice, but bear the consequences he will, there's no getting away from Karma.

She was/is truly a remarkable soul and made a huge impact on my life, nothing that i can describe in mere words..........Val, may your light continue to shine down on your loved ones as you walk your path in the higher realms, may it be eternally filled with love, peace, happiness & adventure.  Miss & luv ya madly, till we meet again xoxox

3d smiles(281) Beautiful, Delia.  Yes, hard to see it sometimes, but justice will be served, one way or another and my belief much like yours - if not in this lifetime, he will have to give reckoning for his deeds - that's no maybe.
Good to celebrate your aunt Val's life, rather than the thug's useless existence.
Big hug to you today!
