Sorry for the downtime everyone, after sitting behind this keyboard for close on 9 hours, I have managed to get the forum back up and running...

I was horrified to find out this morning that the database had crashed and the forum went down, I worried about all those pictures, comments, people, history that you had all contributed towards over the last 3 and a half years.... I had visions of it all been gone..... I am not a database engineer.... but heck, I trawled the net..... and now I was forced to upgrade the forum software to the latest version, but in the process forfeited our shoutbox, but I will try and have another one installed soon....

There are still minor glitches that you will notice on the forum, please do not hesitate to point them out to me... and I will try and rectify them...

Sorry once again for that and let's hope we continue to post and chat for many more years to come...

Just want to mention i was on the guestbook 2 days ago and seen some posts with no names just letters and am wondering if this had anything to do with it....

@ Barbara, the guestbook is independent of the forum.... there however were 9 entries on the guestbook that came from spammers, that consisted of jumbled up letters, this happens on a daily basis and I delete them when I get time...
