To all the Irish ex pats around this beautiful world of ours a Happy 'St Patrick's Day' on the 17th day of March and did you know that he was Welsh!....... I did not! but smartypants my ever adoring wife who is from Irish descent 'O'Regan' did.  Two authentic letters from him survived, from which come the only universally accepted details of his life. When he was about 16, he was captured from Britain by Irish raiders and taken as a slave to Ireland, where he lived for six years before escaping and returning to his family. After entering the Church, he returned to Ireland as an ordained bishop in the north and west of the island, but little is known about the places where he worked. By the seventh century, he had come to be revered as the patron saint of Ireland. P.S. he also rid the country of snakes when he had a bit of time on his hands!...and I know of one young Irish lady on this site 'Rhona' have a happy day and don't have to much of that green beer it gives you a hell of a headache......................................... image203 image203 image203 image203 image04

Dear ol St. Pat - he's yer only man to rid the place of snakes........he would indeed be a proud man if he saw the partying that took place on Wednesday, Thursday & Friday - I don't think I've ever seen so many leprechauns gathered in one place dancing and enjoying the black stuff
