WANT TO TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT ON YOUR FRIDAY EVENING? WHY NOT HEAD ON DOWN TO THE ORANJEMUND BOWLING CLUB THIS FRIDAY EVENING AT 18H00.
BRING THE KIDS AND OUMA WITH YOU. A BRAAI FIRE WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT WANT TO BRING AND BRAAI. BAR OPENS AT 18H00 AND SOCIAL FUN BOWLS START AT 18H30.
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE PLAYED BOWLS BEFORE TO ROLL THAT BIG MARBLE DOWN THE GREEN..... IT'S FUN FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY!

Feedback on last night....

I counted more than 30 players, more than 20 kids running around and about 20 folk braaing and bar supporting...... The weather was calm  and the skies were clear..... the almost full moon rising in the east between the tall palmtree's........ this was indeed a good turnout...

Yup, I second that!  It was a fantastic evening and the kids had a blast!  I had never tried bowling before but it was actually great fun and an excellent social.

Thanks very much to Mike and all others who organised the evening!!



PS.  Note to self, NEVER ask an old school bowler how to roll the balls.  Woods or bowls, yes, but NEVER balls!!

Mike, any news on when the next bowling evening is?  The kids loved it and keep asking us when we can go again!

Sean, my father in law is up at the moment, I am going to speak today to John about Friday Night, although I know the inter club comp is on on Saturday, will post later...

I see the east wind should be holding out until Friday....

Thanks Mike, we'll be standing by.  If there is something happening this Friday we'll rent a crowd and make an evening of it.   As you say the weather is perfect for it!  If not, no worries, there's always next time.
