I noticed a new poster up on the wall, Mine letting the workers know that they are lifting the lockout that they introduced on the 19th...

I heard that the police had to be called to Payroll as a number of strikers had turned up there demanding to know why they were not paid in full....

I also heard that some of the essential services workers were told by the Union yesterday not to report to work today....

Further more , I know of a number of folk that were asked to work late last night to cover the shifts of missing folk....

I also heard the company jet departing this morning at 06h00.....

from my perspective, one has to wonder where it all went wrong, when two parties cannot find "common" ground and discuss a way to resolve their issues as opposed to rushing into a strike that serves not only to hurt the Strikers and their families, The mine and their shareholders, but also local business and their families..... when did we, mature, experienced adults become children in a creche throwing toys around...... TALK PEOPLE< TALK....... war solves naught!

The strikers stood right INSIDE the PCC exit doorway this afternoon when i knocked off. Throwing all kinds of insult. I had to push my way through.
Said nothing in return thou.......
I thought the picketing rules stated, that they should be 50m from all company property exits.

They are breaking all the rules now....think the blood is going flow soon..
