Mmm .. every time we have wage negotiations  we have staff that suddenly become " angry people"  looking for everything thats wrong , instead of focusing on the facts ..  they also   get " cross " about working for us ..   simple response .. " if you that cross  then  you know where the door is " ..
Our company has  nearly had a major shareholder   pull the plug on us ,,, our bank  pull the operating overdraft  back .. etc etc ,, its tough times  and yet some  staff still think we owe them ...

its a two way street ,, they owe us as well  ...

I think that U ions have a roll to play in any work place or society, but when politics and narrow minded feelings come into play, that is when disaster happens. The fact that the big nobs of the union have done a disappearing act, speaks volumes and history in the work place also has no bearing on the facts of the matter. Hopefully the rights will be right and the wrongs got rid of either way.

Thanks for  the  stating some of the facts Mike ..  Life  is indeed interesting and sometimes difficult here on the tip of africa ... agreed with Skinny  unions have a  part to play but yes there are always the political  affilitaions / agendas  etc ... 
Strange how Namibia  dont seem to object to being "colonised " by the chinese ..  how  the  " western colonial powers ' get blamed in the mindless  rambling tired old rhetoric ..
