Heard from a source that representatives of Namib Air will be staying over in Oranjemund 2morrow. Seem's they are looking into reopening the air route to Oranjemund again.

I heard from a source that Namib Air will resume flights to Oranjemund as of the 4th of October, four flights a week, direct to Windhoek, it will be on their new jet...... no more props that keep losing petrol caps and rivets.....

I was just looking at the online booking prices and see that the prices have been reduced dramatically since the old days..... a return flight from Windhoek to omund comes in at under N$ 1700.00   , Not to shabby, at last the national carrier has learned  that if you bring the prices down, your plane will fill...... unlike the old days when 4 people flew in a 22 seater plane paying for the empty seats...... what was it again, 3400 for a return?

Still more than double the price of flights in SA...
