Just bashed into two consulting type chaps in the SPAR, one a South African , the other Canadian, In town for a few weeks to do a wee bit of drilling.Vibrating drilling at that...... seems the drill can go down at least 200m....... the idea is to pull entire core samples out of the ground, showing at which levels there might be shiney stuff....

I am hearing a lot lately about false bedrock..... what I can gather (which is more than likely incorrect, me being in the retail trade and all) , is that there is a gap of gravel beneath the current bedrock and then  another layer of bedrock before that..... seem';s it get's very interesting the closer you get to the river mouth side....

Anyhow, I think it's awesome that the mine is trying out new ideas in their search for carbon stones  and in turn sustaining our town....

These guys seem keen try out the local fishing....
