First person to get the correct answer gets awarded a karma that has been blessed by Maharishi Yohesh Guru and a ultra-special bonus: Take Auntie Di to Sandy's plek there by Woodstock and share a bottle of Shiraz which you will buy as a treat for Di.

Only 100% correct answers will be considered for the honour of accompanying Di to Frangipani. Best behaviour is also required. Here are the rules:

  • No suiping direct from the bottle without wiping the bottleneck carefully and thoroughly first
  • no honking in the gutter outside Frangipani's
  • no singing anywhere at anytime
  • zero vloekheid
  • no mixing dops when the wine runs out
  • no swiping Di's ciggies or borrowing her cellphone to call your chommies in Australia
  • no getting fresh with other ladies or men at Frangipani or anywhere that you accompany Di
  • no skopping the dog
  • absolutely no boring talk about rugby, fishing or any sport Di does not like
  • no bragging about anything especially about daar onder
  • no offering Di a dream holiday at Knysna lagoon, Plett or Langebaan

Thanks Diana, but actually, had you not answered so quickly I would have had the honour of taking you (and your driver) wining and dining at Sandy's spot! However it would have been extremely difficult to uphold the strict criteria (11 commandments) governing the rendezvous! Should our esteemed Quiz Master offer a modicum of latitude, a plan can still be made!

Robert Bruce

The Rules ............./continued

  • Thou shalt not converse with Di unless you are shouted at in the first instance
  • You will repeat 20 times per half hour for being honoured by the presence of Di," Wow, thou art truly marvelous to behold"
  • For suggesting any rule changes thee losest thine Karma points 2 fold per hour
  • Partaking of the juice of the vine will bring you and Di much merriment. Fake it (the merriment),and you lose a limb!
  • Thou shalt remain at Di's beck and call two hours before and one full hour after conveying her home from Sandy's plek
  • These rules are inviolate and remain sacrocanct at all times during the gig
  • Thou shalt be Di's bodyguard and take one for the team
  • What that one is shall be for Di to decide

And Verona the driver is also to be afforded all the courtesy and protection contained in the rule except for one. She buys her own non-alcoholic grog!
