It would appear that the little Kiosk down at the local petrol station got broken into sometime during the early hours of this morning.... seem's the criminals entered through the roof of the building....
this seems to be a common mode of breaking and entry in this country.....

Funny enough, we noticed two suspicious characters trawling Spar on Thursday.... the security guard noticed them immediately ...... just came in, looking at the "nothing".... then left....

Roll on proclamation.....

I suppose burglar bars in the ceilings will be the next deterrent.

I have further info stating the thief(s) took nothing as they were looking for something specific which was not there...

The scary facts are that the town was proclaimed last year... (Is  this true???) the authorities (MME & NDB) apparently hold the right, protected by the diamond areas act (or something like that) to restrict access to the town to permit holders only. The North Bank road is still a contentious issue which is yet to be resolved. There are also other infrastructural matters that are outstanding before the whole caboodle can be thrown to the wolves.

So there is still a wee bit of something to hang onto for a little longer...

Roof space passive IR motion sensors are a fave, (just deactivate before entering ceiling to check the geyser... your hearing may never be the same afterwards).

Mike A, where's your techno-gatchet-fundi friend, he'll rig you up with something innovative for your roof protection.
All things electrical contain smoke. Making it come out is easy; getting it back in? ... yeah right!!!
