Ta Gordon, safe to assume that the ground beneath the huge dump was also mined then?

doing a dry test run on 2 plant 1975 / 1976  . mining supplied quite a lot of waste sand /  ground. after the plant was in operation for about a year or so , we had a rare rainstorm - [ trucks could not use the haul road ] , Selvyn Lange , the  plant supt. ordered to feed the left over test ground through the plant , and ... guess what - a large nuber of carats were recovered from that waste ground . and what this implies is that the ground used for the test run , and is [ I presume ] still at the bottom of the tailings dump might contain some diamonds
