So how many of you old timers shook your head when you saw the chain gang setting up the Diamond Festival banner across the road opposite Woolworths..... you know... kind of facing the wind......?

Anyone who has lived in this little town for a year should know that during November/December the wind gets to pump.... and pump it did.... taking down the banner/pole/light and Xmas decor with it..... Gee! Talk about sailing down main road.....

i asked the one guy why don't they just put the banner on Woolies front wall .... guess what the answer was,well there you have it hahaha listen boetie listen and next year they will do the same...

.... and how long have they been busy at replacing the the pole and cables across the road between the cinema (night call) and Sportsmans..???????? So guess how long it will take to get the Shopping Centre (Woolies) - bottle store (Black Diamond)crossing up????

So there will be no "MERRY XMAS" this year just like there was no "HAPPY NEW YEAR" last year...! What a shame.
