Local Residents..... Your local Spar has a shortage of trolley's due to the fact that certain cheapskates persist on "walking" their shopping home with our trolley instead of paying the Taxi ..... However these energetic folk, do not seem that keen on returning our property.....

As you are well aware, we had put up signs around the parking areas at Spar , requesting the "Walkers' not to remove our property beyond these points.... to no avail, they just carried on....

We are getting frustrated here and as a last option will have to start charging customers to take trolley;s out of the store.... not an option we would like to do, but we are running out of alternatives...

If you have a trolley in your yard, please push it out next to the street, in order for our driver to see it and to collect...

If you spot a trolley in the street, pls send an sms to Elifas on 0811284323. He will collect....

Thanks......

If you see someone pass a sign with a trolley, shoot him on sight. They can't read for %$#% and do not give a @@#% about anybody else, but themselves. I sometimes wonder how animals like that manage to walk upright.......

Not wise to call me a Softie, I am known for losing it and might start throwing 10kg blocks of cheese around....

The charging for the trolley is a final option..... Don;t like to do that as you are then discriminating against the other 95% of your customers who do the right thing.... why should they be punished for what others do? Tried to educate the 5% with the signs..... but they just plod on.... even heard tales where they verbally abuse my workers when they in turn ask them to return the trolley....

Sigh!!!!

10 kg cheese blocks na..... i will gladly spar with you, seriously Mike you should consider it,look most people just use the trolley to the car and back so if they can produce a car key voila if not they pay and if they complain we chuck a 10 kg cheese block at them....

I would go with the paying option..... Why would it be a problem....you using your amount when you go in and get it back when you return......which you should be doing with your trolley anyway....its not like you have this massive parking area where people have to walk miles.

We have that problem here as well.   I have 2 trolleys in my back yard, (you know that corner we all have where we stack our cr*p) that I found neatly parked on my front lawn...... I must have phoned them at least a dozen times to fetch them, I'm only about 500 meters away....  errr mmmm this was 2 years ago and they still haven't pitched.....oh well they now have 2 trolleys without wheels.

I still say charge an amount...... they getting it back when they return said trolley.

Throw blocks of cheese at people? You can Gouda hell!!!( see what I did just there???)

Dunno how many packers you have or what the cost of trolly loss is but maybe the idea is that nobody pushes their own trolly out, a packer pushes it to the car unpacks and returns it ! Greater customer service and zero trolly losses!

Leave it to the Irish!!! No no, your trolley goes as far as the pole (SPAR " no trollies past this point " pole not the north or south pole ) the. Your messages get taken out and dumped on the pavement, thereafter you call a taxi or whatnot!!! Brilliant am I not!!!
