The Gov, The Census and the current counters!

I happen to be at home yesterday afternoon, when our burglar alarm, Shadow, went off..... On going to the front gate, I encountered four individuals armed with a clip board and attired in similar blue caps...... They informed that they were conducting a survey on behalf of a relevant ministry and wanted to know the name of the householder...... I duly gave them this requested  name. They then asked me if I knew the names of my neighbours as they appeared not to be in....

I then enquired of the travelling quartet to please, pray tell why would they be doing such a survey in the middle of the afternoon when most folk would be at work. I was greeted with a mumbled response and the group moved along the street.

As i walked back to my castle, I wondered to myself how on earth our Gov works...... We just had a census done a few months ago and all relevant info could be sourced from these records...... On top of that, why do you need to send a group of 4 individuals around the town, when only one is armed with a clipboard asking questions.... One can only assume that this is Gov's cruel way of thinking that they are creating jobs....

Off course the more paranoid side of me was wondering if the travelling quartet were up to no good seeing that I have not seen any official notification regarding this "survey"

They were here by me yesterday evening, my name was already on the clip board.
Apparently they from the ministry of heath, there were 2 of them.
