CDM Video ~ Diamonds in the Desert

Back in the mid 80's, CDM commissioned a video to be made telling the story of their operations along the desolate Nambian coast. I recall a number of folk back in that time period who all had VHS copies of this film.

Some folk sent them away to relatives to show them the unique place that they lived in, others took it back to boarding school to show their classmates how the town of Oranjemund looked...

As the years roll on a number of folk lost or misplaced the old VHS tapes... but thanks to ex Oranjemunder , Hennie Kruger, we are able to upload a copy of the video. Remember the VHS quality back in the day was not the best.

We have reduced the size of the video and I have broken it up into 5 separate smaller files. The format used is .mp4 and most players support this. If you are looking for a reliable program, I suggest VLC player.....

The first 4 files average 26mb and the last file a mere 7mb.

Thanks to the current NAMDEB management for allowing us to upload this special piece of our town/mines history.

yes this old Flintstone really need a new B & D drilling machine . so a few Bucks would come in handy ! Mike V is in a similar position . He will understand what it means

Hennie, I use Youtube Downloader HD, it's free and can be found here...

Once you have installed it, you just copythe url from the youtube website and paste it into the program, then click start.

Michel A , don't ask for money , and don't return the broken drill , and please do not replace it , because just like my son in law , you also really shaped up to a model son in law , to say the least .. quite a pleasant person to have in the family  . But we , that is me and friend Mike V , needs at least one thing against our sons in law . So don't go and spoil it now. Just ignore the issue - and never mind Simons advice !
